quick rack

Postby Mcgee9t2 » Mon 17 Jul, 2017 10:25 am

thread on SELOC regarding quick racks at the moment, however i thought id put a post up here to get views.

i have the car booked in at hexham horseless carriages for steering rack replacement next week, i believe at the moment i have the standard rack (TBC).

they have quoted £380 for a replacement refurbished standard rack.
is it worth the extra £120 for the EP quick rack? or any other suggested rack?

I had track torque adjust the ride height on my s2 exige and give it a full geo, completely changed how the car steered into the corners {drive} :))

getting the geo done as part of the rack repalcement & spitfire toe links replaced.

cant wait for it to handle how it did when i picked it up.

was out over the weekend and as much as i still loved it, it just didnt handle as well as a year ago, and the rack play is noticeable now. so hopefully the new rack and geo will get it back to how it should be {drive} {drive}

Just done my rack of the Europa, and fitted a quick rack of Dave at seriously . I think it takes it down to 2.5 turns lock to lock. First impressions it's more precise and turn is slightly improved but only done a few miles so will report back when I get some more miles on it.
